Getting Started with FireDeck

Sign up, verify your email, pick a plan, set up your shop, and generate your first submittal package.

FireDeck is a platform for fire protection contractors. It builds AHJ-ready submittal packages, runs field service and inspections, invoices your customers, and answers your phone with an AI receptionist. You buy only the modules you want, and the app shows only what you bought.

Create your account

  1. Go to the sign-up page and fill in Shop Name, Email, Password, and Confirm Password.
  2. Use your company name for Shop Name — it appears on your submittal packages.
  3. Your password needs 8 or more characters with at least two of: uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol. The strength meter under the field tells you when you're there; Create account stays disabled until you are.
  4. Click Create account.

Verify your email

Signing up sends a verification link to the address you entered and lands you on a Check your inbox screen. Click the link in that email to activate the account. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, or sign in — the login page will tell you the email isn't verified and offer a Resend verification email link.

Once you click the link you'll see Email verified with a button that takes you where you need to go next: straight into the app if your shop already has access, or to the plan page if it doesn't.

Choose your plan

The plan page is where you decide what your shop gets.

  1. Pick Monthly or Yearly at the top. Yearly bills twelve months for the price of ten.
  2. Choose a bundle — Office (Submittals + Customer Invoicing) or Complete Platform (Submittals + Invoicing + AI Answering) — or skip the bundles and check individual modules from the à-la-carte list: Submittals, Customer Invoicing, Field Service & Inspections, AI Answering Service, AI Assistant, Receipts & Reconciliation.
  3. Watch the Total at the bottom update as you select, then click Subscribe now to go to checkout.
  4. At checkout, enter the code LAUNCH for your first month free on monthly plans.

When checkout completes you land back on the dashboard with a confirmation. Access is tied to your subscription, so if it lapses, FireDeck sends you back to this page.

Set up your shop

After you subscribe, the dashboard shows a Finish setting up your shop banner. Click Continue setup to open the setup checklist. Nothing here blocks the app — it's a map, and you can leave and come back:

  1. Tell FireDeck what work you do — check the service lines you run and click Save trades. Your trades decide which tools appear. You can change them later under Settings → Shop Info.
  2. Confirm your modules — review what's active, and use Open billing to add or drop modules.
  3. Load your book of business — import your customers from a spreadsheet, or your unit inventory by CSV if you run inspections. See Customers and Invoicing.
  4. Put the field app on a phone and run a visit — for shops with Field Service. See Work Orders and Inspections.

The banner stays on the dashboard until the checklist is done. Hide for now mutes it for the current browser session.

Find your way around

The sidebar on the left shows your shop name at the top and the navigation below it. Dashboard always sits at the top on its own — it's your project list, with a New Project button and an Archived view.

Under it are collapsible groups. A group only appears if your shop owns that module and your account has permission for it, so a submittals-only shop sees a much shorter list than a full-platform shop:

Click a group heading to expand or collapse it; the group holding your current page opens automatically. On a phone the sidebar becomes a drawer behind the menu button in the top bar. At the bottom of the sidebar you'll find your email address, a Help & Support link that opens this help center, and Sign out.

To bring your crew in, go to Settings → Team — see Team & Settings.

Your first submittal in five minutes

  1. From Dashboard, click New Project, fill in the job details, and click Create Project. Details in Projects.
  2. Opening a project adds a Current Project group to the sidebar with Overview, Devices, Circuits, Cut Sheets, and Submittal.
  3. Go to Devices and click Add Device to pull devices in from the global library or your own. Assign them to panels and circuits — see Devices & Circuits.
  4. Go to Submittal and click Generate Submittal. FireDeck builds the package — cover sheet, device schedule, and load calculations — and downloads the PDF.

Full detail on cover sheets, AHJ profiles, and the submittal builder is in Submittals.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy just the submittal software without the answering service or field service?

Yes. Every module is à-la-carte — Submittals, Customer Invoicing, Field Service & Inspections, AI Answering Service, AI Assistant, and Receipts & Reconciliation are priced separately, and the two bundles are optional. The app shows only the modules your shop owns, so a submittals-only shop sees a much shorter sidebar than a full-platform shop.

Is there a free trial, or do I have to pay to try FireDeck?

Enter the code LAUNCH at checkout and your first month is free on monthly plans. Yearly billing is the other way to save — it charges twelve months at the price of ten.

Why don't I see Work Orders or Inspections in my sidebar?

A sidebar group appears only if your shop owns that module and your account has permission for it, and within Field Service the individual pages also depend on the service lines you checked during setup. Add or drop modules under Settings → Billing, and change your trades under Settings → Shop Info.

Do I have to finish the setup checklist before I can generate a submittal?

No. Nothing on the checklist blocks the app — you can go straight from New Project to Devices to Generate Submittal. The dashboard banner stays until the checklist is done, and Hide for now mutes it for the current browser session.

What happens if my subscription lapses?

Access is tied to your subscription, so FireDeck sends you back to the plan page to pick your modules again before you can keep working.
